Why insular seas are paradises of marine plants and animals that are not found anywhere else on the planet? Guided for biologist Miriam Fernandez and her team of the Coast Station of Sea Investigations we scuba dived and discover the treasure of biodiversity that is hidden in the submarine landscapes of the Juan Fernandez Archipelago, protected by a group of local residents that struggle to prioritize the preservation of its natural patrimony above other interests, generating culture and being an example to other communities.

It is a total immersion to study the positive cohabitation of the rimicaris prawn and the midiole mussel with bacteria, allowing the researcher to explain how life continues, for centuries, under extreme conditions at the bottom of these oceanic dorsals.
